Summer maxi dress sewing pattern
A voluminous straight dress with a fitted bodice and flowing skirt, perfect for summer events, wedding guests, or casual chic occasions. Designed for a flattering, comfortable fit with stylish options for shaping the skirt.

Model details: The dress features a deep neckline and a fitted bodice to enhance the figure. Two skirt options: with darts for structured fabrics or with gathering for flexible, drapey fabrics. Sleeveless design, back zipper closure, and fully lined. The voluminous skirt emphasizes the waist and gives a playful, elegant silhouette.

Size range: US 2–12 / EU 34–44 / XS–XXL.

Recommended fabrics: Medium-density, soft, slightly stretchable knitted fabrics such as knitted viscose or jersey. Fabrics should hold their shape well. The dress in the photo is made of flexible, stretchable knitted viscose.

Fabric consumption (width 140 cm): XS–L: 1.5 m, XXL: 1.55–1.6 m.

Equipment needed: Straight stitch machine, 4-thread overlock, overlock or coverlock machine. If no coverlock is available, finish hems with a double needle on a household machine with zigzag. Iron and ironing board required.
